As a Prime Claims Specialist, you will ensure high quality claim handling while providing peace of mind to Central Insurance customers by handling their claim with compassion and commitment to restore what has been lost. In Auto Material Damage Claims, we strive to alleviate the stress of an unexpected situation by providing an exceptional level of attention to detail and customer service during this difficult time.

 

How You’ll Make an Impact

 

  • Manages assigned Claims with hospitality, optimal claim outcomes, and efficiency throughout the life of the claim
  • Investigates, evaluates, negotiates and settles assigned claims within authority limits
  • Assesses vehicle damages and works collaboratively with salvage team to assign early tow and request vehicle inspections
  • Provides proactive hospitality by appropriately setting expectations, building rapport, and responding to requests timely
  • Builds relationships and appropriately communicates with agency partners and internal stakeholders
  • Understands all applicable coverage forms; provides thorough and timely coverage analysis and communication
  • Detects and mitigates fraud when investigating claim
  • Conducts thorough and proactive claim investigations including utilization of ISO
  • Partners with and transfers claim to regional team if coverage documentation, use of Reservation of Rights, Non-Waivers, and/or coverage letters are needed
  • Completes liability determination and assesses if further investigation is needed
  • Sets accurate initial reserve in a timely manner and continually reviews in the context of ultimate probable exposure
  • Obtains, analyzes and evaluates damage documentation, implements appropriate control of rental/loss of use, and mitigates advanced charges
  • Maintains appropriate Loss Adjustment expense control and utilizes approved suppliers
  • Implements proper recognition, investigation, referral and communication regarding subrogation
  • Reviews estimates (Property)
  • Assists team development with subject matter expertise learning, onboarding assistance, and assists supervisor when needed
  • Completes training as needed
  • Handles phone volume and setting up claims within acceptable time parameters
  • Manages daily task assignments independently; provides team guidance or support as needed

 

What You’ll Bring

 

  • Must be licensed in all states as assigned as a claims adjuster or capable of obtaining such licenses within 30 days of employment if already licensed in one or more States, or within 2 months of employment if a new licensee
  • Ability to work weekends on a rotational basis as assigned
  • Must remain in role for one year before posting to another role

  • Preferred:
    • Bachelor’s degree
