About the YMCA of Greater Brandywine: The YMCA of Greater Brandywine (YGBW), an association of eight YMCAs serving Chester County, is a non-profit organization committed to nurturing the potential of every child, promoting healthy living and fostering social responsibility through life-changing programs for all. 

Position Purpose: The Oscar Lasko YMCA is looking for an enthusiastic Ninja Instructor to plan, organize, and deliver value-driven sports programs to participants in accordance with YMCA goals and objectives. 


Responsibilities: 

  • Plan, organize and lead sports activities and games for all participants 
  • Lead with enthusiasm and positive motivation  
  • Organize and maintain program records including, but not limited to:  attendance records, rosters, etc. 
  • Manage all equipment 
  • Maintain a clean and risk-free environment 
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of all participants and that all children are picked up by parent/guardian 
  • Communicate positively and accurately with all the parents/guardians of participants 
  • Promote other YMCA programs with participants and parents/guardians 
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor

 

Qualifications: 

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Prior knowledge and at least 1 year of experience in sports
  • Demonstrate ability to develop and teach skills
  • Demonstrate the ability to relate and positively interact with children and adults
  • Ability to effectively use technology for programmatic needs
