Position Summary: To plan, organize, and deliver value-driven skill development programs to participants in accordance with YMCA goals and objectives. The Lionville Community YMCA is looking for an energetic and enthusiastic instructor for our youth basketball clinics running this summer. The applicant must have basic knowledge of basketball and ability to work with young children. The applicant must also be willing to adhere to the core values of the YMCA and be a team player.
Responsibilities:
- Assists with specific Youth Basketball Clinic and other youth sports activities, routines and/or games for all participants.
- Leads with enthusiasm and positive motivation in program.
- Manage all equipment to ensure safety.
- Maintains a clean and risk-free environment.
- Ensures all children are picked up by parent.
- Promotes other YMCA programs by handing out brochures, answering questions, or referral to appropriate person.
- Ensures compliance with all YGBW policies and standard operating procedures.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Must be 15 years of age or older
- Demonstrate ability to develop and teach skills
- Prior knowledge and at least 1 year of experience in program area
- Ability to effectively use technology for programmatic needs
- Obtain and maintain all new hire certifications and trainings within 90 days of hire
