Our Accounting Department is currently seeking a Staff Accountant to join our growing team in our Worcester, MA office. This is a full time, hybrid, exempt role. 

POSITION OVERVIEW: 

Independently completes routine accounting and reporting processes with limited supervision.  Performs moderately complex assignments under immediate supervision. Demonstrates an understanding of accounting and reporting concepts.

IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL:

  • Compiles and analyzes financial information for business transactions.
  • Prepares simple to moderately complex journal entries and performs account reconciliations & data gathering. 
  • Perform monthly balance sheet account reconciliations.
  • May be required to document process flows for areas of responsibility.
  • May be required to identify and implement process improvements.
  • May be required to document and test procedures implemented for SOX 404.
  • May be required to participate in monitoring of overall company close process.
  • May be required to research simple accounting issues and present findings in a memo. 


WHAT YOU NEED TO APPLY:

  • 2-4 Yrs related experience.
  • Bachelor’s or equivalent.
  • Must demonstrate attention to detail in a fast-paced work environment and the ability to adapt quickly to changing conditions to achieve results.
  • Knows and applies accounting concepts to both simple and moderately difficult assignments.
  • Communicates well with own team and across organizational boundaries to create alignment and ensure the successful completion of shared goals.
  • Possesses a solid understanding of accounting principles.
  • Able to work independently.
