Our Early Learning Centers and programs provides high-quality care for children during the critical first 2,000 days of life by operating seven high-quality early learning centers, serving children birth through five years old, in Cleveland and the inner-ring suburbs. Job Qualifications

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) in Health Education, Nursing, Public Health or related program/field.
  • Advance degree (MS, MPH, MPA, RN) in Health Education, Nursing Public Health or related program/field preferred.
  • At least three years related experience, with emphasis on training and knowledge of community health/nutrition resources preferably in a social service environment.
  • Significant decision making and problem solving abilities in areas including the allocation of resources to program components, supervisory issues, scheduling and provision of program services.
  • Valid Driver’s License, with proof of valid insurance required.
  • No record of child abuse or moral turpitude as determined by background check based on fingerprints.

Job Summary

The Health, Dental & Nutrition Manager manages the overall health, dental, and nutrition services activities of The Centers and The Learning Coalition by ensuring compliance with all regulations set by all funding entities.

Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities

  •  Supervise and oversee staff, work tasks, and activities within the Health, Dental, and Nutrition Services department to ensure the full delivery of integrated services.
  •  Plan and develop The Centers health, dental and nutrition survives. Continuously ensuring objectives are up-to-date with the strategic plan of the program.
  •  Develop and maintain training guides and conduct trainings as needed, when staff is unavailable.
  •  Leads the Learning Coalition Health, Dental and Nutrition service area in strategic planning to ensure compliance and quality programming.
  •  Provide guidance, support, and oversight to staff who work with children with identified health, dental, and nutrition needs.
  •  Work cooperatively with component managers to keep abreast of program directives and coordinate unified program efforts.
  •  Compliance tracking, auditing, analysis and review of health data to ensure health needs are being met.
  •  Assess, identify, document, plan and evaluate all health-related services to ensure best possible health outcomes for children and families.
  •  Responsible for ensuring prenatal visits are completed within two (2) weeks of birth; provides intervention for non-prenatal home visits for children, families, and pregnant women when additional supportive needs are identified.
  • Provide clarification and technical support to all staff in implementing all Health and Nutrition policies and procedures
  • Review all communication between the Health, Dental, and Nutrition service area, families and staff.
  • Collaborate with state and community partners to enhance The Centers’ Early Learning health, dental and nutrition services.
  • Attend and participate in any team/staff meetings, and/or workshops deemed necessary by job requirements. Assist in planning and preparing special events or activities.
  • Participate on community health related projects, work groups, and initiatives.
