SUMMARY 

The Wildhorse Manager will be responsible and accountable for the daily operations of the Wildhorse Daycare Center at Tamarack’s two locations (guest daycare and employee daycare).  This person will meet or exceed established standards for members, guests, and employee satisfaction.  They will strive to provide a safe, clean, and enjoyable working environment for the kids and staff, assuring peak performance from all team members while guaranteeing the most enjoyment for our guests.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

 

  • Act as a mentor for the development of staff within the department.
  • Interview, hire, educate and train all staff.
  • Complete performance evaluations for the staff.
  • Directly supervise staff in accordance with Tamarack Resort’s policies and procedures; including planning, scheduling, assigning and at times (or, per projected daily business) performing activities of the team members they supervise.
  • Coach staff members as needed, while creating an enjoyable atmosphere and establishing camaraderie among team members.
  • Assist team members in obtaining Child Care certifications.
  • Define and develop achievable, common goals for team members that will positively enforce future standards for personal and professional growth.
  • Develop and maintain effective lines of communication between all others within the department in regard to Recreational operations.
  • Meet formally and informally with staff at all levels to plan for the future and solicit feedback from team members.
  • Ensure that superior standards of production always meets the requirements of our members, customers and employees, while assuring the standards are being constantly improved upon.
  • Maintain and keep the Wildhorse Dome clean, tidy, and sanitary.
  • Provide excellent customer service to guests, property owners, homeowners, and fellow employees.
  • Maintain all required compliance with State and local regulations.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.   • Must enjoy working and interacting with the public.
  • Strong knowledge of child development principles and best practices in early childhood education.
  • Clean extensive background check (including fingerprinting).
  • Patience and time management skills.
  • Knowledge of relevant state and local regulations governing daycare centers.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be over 21 years of age.

 

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Exceptional organizational skills including high level of comfort with multiple software systems.   Must demonstrate strong management and leadership skills with the ability to work in a team environment.  Must be skilled in providing outstanding customer service.

  

  • Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a leadership role in a daycare or early childhood education setting

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.  Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.  Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

 

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of geometry.  Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

 

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

 

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

 

  • Current CPR – adult, child and infant, AED and First Aid
  • Childcare Certificate
  • IdahoStars training
