The Operations Manager will manage the Local Restaurant Operations team.  This person will provide strategic guidance and direct the Restaurant Operations team in the on-time implementation of tasks and projects that directly impact Franchisees, Store Managers, DA's and Field Consultants.  The Operation Manager will manage relationships and timelines with all Business Unit departments, SMO, IPC and vendors to ensure all initiatives are successfully executed at the restaurant level.   

 

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Provide strategic guidance and direction to Business Units countries, including Resource Materials, New Program and Product Implementation.   
  • Market Reviews-Perform Market reviews at the direction of the Regional Director or ADM to build consistent market evaluations in the area. Work with  offices to provide customized business analysis and guidance with a focus on improving sales and profits through operational efficiencies
  • Implement all new products and promotions, and system initiatives.  
  • Work with the R & D team to ensure new product development and rollouts are executed at an exceptional level.  Collaborate with R & D and Marketing to determine restaurant needs for new initiatives and programs 
  • Equipment and Décor-Work with IPC and region Office on new equipment and smallware approvals, time to open and construction related issues. new operational procedures, local sourcing and testing of new equipment and any associated procedural changes. Work with local teams to understand the impact on labor cost, staff retention, and customer satisfaction.  
  • Market Support/Tools-Work with Marketing team to create the playbook with operational details for every marketing window, support of LTOs , Subway Series and other marketing promotions. Translate Global GSP initiatives and solutions into practical operational tools for the local area.  Work closely with regional team to create or implement operational guides and tools for the field.  
  • Local Business Case Testing and Analysis-Work with Innovation and Marketing team to perform mini R&D business cases in the area. Track local business cases and work with franchisees, vendors and/or DAs to collect and analyze results. Ensure that tests are completed in a timely manner and escalated or ended as appropriate 
  • Self-Development – Maintain knowledge of industry and restaurant operations, to keep up to date with current trends. 

 

A Successful Candidate will have:

 

  • At least 5 years of related operations experience. Operational background in Subway/QSR.  
  • Required Degree in Business or related
  • QSR experience, Subway Experience 
  • Fully Bilingual (English/Spanish)
  • Travel 60%
