SUMMARY
Coordinates the development and implementation of the STP Security Programs and the Security Plan. Develops and coordinates the Security Training and Qualification and Corrective Action Program. Ensures Security System maintenance, tracking, and Regulatory compliance reporting are up to date and all training, procedural and regulatory requirements are met. Provides updates to management and acts as Security representative at meetings and leads project teams including interacting with the NRC and Local Law Enforcement Agencies. Supports management by providing input to the department's budget and Business Plan.


EDUCATION
• Bachelor's degree in security field (Preferred)
• Without a degree, 5 years of security experience or an associate degree in security field plus 3 years of security experience may be considered.

EXPERIENCE
• ASSOCIATE (4806) – Experience not required.
• GENERALIST (4803) – 2 Years experience in the nuclear security industry (Required)
• SENIOR (4809)– 5 Years experience in the nuclear security industry (Required)
• STAFF (9142) – 8 Years experience in the nuclear security industry (Required)

LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS
• There is no Licensure or Certifications required.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
• Conducts field walkdowns and records appropriate information identified during these walkdowns. Prepares Condition Reports and Management Observation Forms. Ensures all compliance reporting is completed.
• Supports Drill Coordinator for implementation of the Security Drills and Exercises Program.
• Coordinates the Corrective Action Program and supports implementing corrective actions identified. Conducts apparent cause evaluations and self-assessments. Provides periodic status updates to appropriate management.
• Coordinates the development and revisions of Security Plan, Instructions, and Procedures.
• Ensures regulatory compliance is being maintained.
• Completes Security System maintenance and tracking and classifies Safeguards documents.
• Interfaces with NRC and Local Law Enforcement Agencies as required.
• Attends Station Team communication meetings as assigned and acts as Security representative at assigned meetings.
• Researches and prepares Security Instructions and Procedures as assigned.
• Provides input to the department's budget and Business Plan.
• Facilitates and manages complex Special Projects.
• Supports the implementation of the Security Training and Qualification Program.

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES
• Accept ERO position as needed.
• Accept outage position as needed.
• Ability to obtain and maintain unescorted access.

ENVIRONMENTAL & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
• Environmental and physical requirements require the ability to don appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for the defined role; subject to crouching, stooping, bending, twisting and/or lifting up 30+ lbs; ascending/descending stairs; ascending, descending, traversing ladders, scaffolds, stairs; working in confined spaces; moving safely over uneven or slippery terrain; working in proximity to loud equipment and possible inclement weather/temperature conditions.

WORKING CONDITIONS
• Overtime and alternate work schedules as needed.
• Subject to callouts twenty-four hours per day seven days per week.
• Travel may be required.
• May be required to carry a phone.

WORK LOCATION
• Due to the nature of the work, this position requires work to be performed in the field and/or at the work site.
