QA Tech.

ESSENTIAL
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
include the following. Other duties may be
assigned.

·        
 
Inspect
  products and monitor operating procedures at all phases of production.

·        
 
Verify
  internal temperatures of products

·        
 
Auditing
  incoming raw materials and outgoing products;

 

·        
 
i.e.,
  check temperatures, packaging, label of product etc.

·        
 
Perform
  thermometer calibration according to SOP's

·        
 
Fill
  out paperwork:  i.e., preoperational
  evaluation records, product information, operational evaluation record etc.

·        
 
Monitor
  production personnel to ensure employee hygiene practices are being followed
  correctly

·        
 
Verify
  the calibration of production instruments: 
 

 

·        
 
i.e.,
  metal detector and scales

·        
 
Uphold
  all Safety standards

·        
 
Display
  extra ordinary Teamwork

·        
 
Other
  duties deemed necessary by management

·        
 
Prepare
  sample and incubation media for microbiological test

·        
 
Perform
  chemical analysis: 

 

·        
 
i.e.,
  APC, Listeria, Salmonella, Coliform, Yeast and Mold

·        
 
Verify
  QA paperwork:  i.e., pre shipment
  review, product information, product formulation log, injection and tumble
  record, etc.

·        
 
Maintain
  cleanliness of laboratory.  Dispose of
  chemical

waste and retains sample as required.

·        
 
Record
  test results and fill out required paperwork: 
 
i.e.,

non-complaint product record

·        
 
Perform
  sensory evaluation of product including flavor,

color, and
  microbiological test.

·        
 
Prepare
  and sent sample to outside laboratory for shelf

life study, chemical, and microbiological test

·        
 
Prepare
  label including nutritional information, ingredient

statement, and heating instruction for application of USDA

approval

 

  • QUALIFICATIONS – 1-2 Years in food
    manufacturing

  • EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE –AA
    preferred

  • LANGUAGE AND MATHEMATICAL
    SKILLS
    – Must be able to read & write English, & be good with a
    calculator & computer

  • PHYSICAL DEMANDS/ WORK ENVIRONMENT:  - Must be able to work in various
    temperatures- cold & hot.  Must also
    be able to work overtime as needed; and stand for long periods of time.  Must also be able to lift 20-25 lbs.
