Position: Procurement Specialist – Performance Adhesives and Specialties

Location: Burlington, ON – Hybrid / Flexible workplace environment

Status: 1 permanent, Full-Time

Quadra is currently looking for a Procurement Specialist for our Performance Adhesives and Specialties Group. This person will be responsible for issuing purchase orders analyzing inventory and collaborating with our Product Managers to ensure sustained portfolio profitability, business continuity; all while contributing to an enhanced customer experience.

 

We are looking for a candidate who enjoys a fast-paced environment, who knows how to prioritize and is very detail oriented. This person will work closely with North American suppliers to ensure timely delivery of inventory and resolve issues that may arise during the supply chain process. 

 

We are looking for someone with experience in procurement, inventory analysis and control, and has excellent interpersonal skills. The candidate must be comfortable in an advanced digital technology work environment.

What would be your main responsibilities as a Procurement Specialist?:

  • Manage the end-to-end procurement process, including issuing purchase orders for chemical products, tracking deliveries, inventory management and profit analysis
  • Proactively implementing measures to minimize aging inventory
  • Foster strong and seamless communication between dedicated Product Managers, our Commercial Team and Business Services
  • Efficiently managing data for our Supplier, Product and Pricing platforms
  • Collaborating with internal stakeholders to understand their customer’s needs and requirements
  • Monitoring supplier performance and resolving any issues or disputes that may arise
  • Diligently reconcile complex supplier invoices monthly, ensuring accuracy and clarity in our financial transactions
  • Compliance with company policies and regulatory guidelines
  • In collaboration with the Product Managers, keeping up to date with industry trends, market conditions, and sales trends
  • Adopt and support new digital initiatives, programs and platforms
  • Participate and support any projects that your manager deems appropriate

The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications and skills:

  • University degree or post-secondary education in Business/Commerce or Supply Chain would be considered an asset
  • Minimum 3 years experience working in procurement, replenishment, inventory control or supply chain
  • Advanced computer skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Salesforce) and experience working with SAP or JD Edwards
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate, and influence decisions
  • Must be detail oriented for report analysis, minimizing the risk of errors or oversights
  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative team setting, managing multiple deadlines with finesse and agility
  • Possess a growth mindset, being self-motivated with a solutions-oriented attitude
