Position:  Account Manager - Industrial Chemicals

Location: Based out of our office in Burlington, Ontario

Territory: Mid to Southern Ontario (Kingston to Windsor)

Status: Full-time, permanent (1)

We are seeking an Account Manager covering Southern Ontario (Windsor to Kingston), who will be responsible for managing a territory in Quadra's growing Industrial Chemicals business. There are numerous opportunities for the candidate, as Quadra is aligned with motivated technology leading partners, underpinned by strong manufacturing bases and solid internal resources.

What would be your main responsibilities as Account Manager?:

  • Manage customer relationships, in line with Quadra's core values and strategic vision
  • Sell Quadra's superior product line to potential customers through routine customer visits, joint calls and participation in industry events
  • Develop and utilize internal and external resources, showcasing Quadra’s reputation for service excellence
  • Successfully close new business opportunities by coordinating requirements, skillfully developing proposals, and conducting negotiations that align with contractual requirements, ensuring a mutually beneficial outcome for all parties involved
  • Meet or exceed annual sales and margin objectives
  • Play a crucial role in assisting customers with troubleshooting and identifying optimization opportunities to enhance their experience and maximize their benefits during the development, follow-up and closing of sales opportunities
  • Effectively manage deadlines and handle any emergencies that may arise outside of business hours ensuring swift resolution and minimal disruption to operations
  • Close new business deals by coordinating requirements; developing and negotiating contracts; integrating contract requirements
  • Building and maintaining customer relationships with key decision makers/influencers to obtain repeat and new sales
  • Prospecting potential customers and current customers for new business.
  • Regular reporting and scheduling utilizing Quadra’s digital tools
  • Participate in the yearly forecasting exercise
  • Delivering presentations, qualifying concerns and closing

 

What are the key requirements to have success in this role? :

  • Undergraduate degree or diploma preferably in chemistry, science, or business would be an asset.
  • Minimum 5 years experience in a sales role selling in the industrial chemicals market is ideal with a focus on major chemical production, environmental, water treatment, construction and/or agriculture.
  • Expertise to drive new sales; prospecting, qualifying customer’s needs and expectations
  • Delivering presentations, qualifying concerns and closing
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain business relationships with prospective customers to generate new business
  • Proven ability in achieving sales targets and KPI’s
  • Possess a high degree of organization, planning, and multi-tasking skills
  • Be comfortable and at ease working in a complex and rapidly changing environment
  • Ensure proven presentation and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
  • Some overnight travel required
  • Proven computer skills and ability to learn and use digital tools. 
  • Valid driver’s license & passport
