Position: Quality Assurance Analyst II

 

Hours of Work:

Monday through Friday: 8:30AM-5:00PM

 

Full-time, Exempt

In This Role, You Will…

Provide support for the Online Lending Software Development team by applying the principles and practices of software quality assurance throughout the software development life cycle. This process includes, but is not limited to: analyzing and validating business requirements for completeness and accuracy, documenting business requirements and testing strategies, executing defined strategies, testing for data quality, testing user interface functionality, validating adherence to software or report requirement specifications and providing customer support.

 

Responsibilities and Essential Duties:

  • Define and document testing strategy for customer-facing websites and mobile applications.
  • Review use cases to ensure they meet the defined business requirements.
  • Identify testing methods, risks and regression tests for functionality to be tested.
  • Test for data integrity and user interface functionality.
  • Collaborate with developers and business stakeholders during the testing life cycle.
  • Ensure quality for customer-facing products in both web and mobile app environments.
  • Ensure that validated deliverables meet functional and design specifications and requirements.
  • Evaluate user interface to ensure ease of use and that it is customer friendly.
  • Interact with and run automated test suites and interpret the results.
  • Review technical specifications for completeness.
  • Participate in continuous improvement activities by identifying and analyzing the effectiveness and efficiency of existing processes and develops strategies for improvements.
  • Conducts strategy sessions with our partners and service providers and actively participates in the implementation of both new vendor software, new versions of software with our existing vendors, and future planning sessions with our partners and vendors regarding future projects with them.
  • Assist junior testers in resolving issues and participates in sharing technical and system knowledge.
  • Participate in after-hours monitoring rotation for user support.
  • May perform additional functions depending on market demand and staffing in order to provide consistent quality customer service.

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field (Information Systems, MIS, BIS, etc.) Additional years of experience may be substituted for education.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of Quality Assurance experience involving customer-facing web applications.
  • Experience with performing Functional testing, Smoke testing, Regression testing, Integration testing, Positive and Negative testing, System testing and End to End testing of Web Based Applications.
  • Highly detail-oriented with strong ability to troubleshoot and identify issues within a user interface.
  • Strong ability to write test plans and test cases and communicate bugs to developers and other stakeholders.
  • Experience with 508 compliance and accessibility regulations.
  • Experience defining Quality Assurance full life cycle processes.
  • Experience handling multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong ability to effectively communicate with all levels of users and teammates both written and verbally.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret requirements and file layouts into test cases and automated scripts in accordance with approved test plans.
  • Strong ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to perform unit, system, and performance testing.
  • Ability to produce status reports and communicate status of projects on a regular basis.
  • Strong ability to work with shifting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Advanced experience in Microsoft Office (Access, Excel, Word, & Outlook).
  • Strong attention to detail, interpersonal skills, and notation skills.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Technical writing experience
  • Experience with the Jira and Confluence.
  • Experience with Sauce Labs a plus.
  • Experience with Selenium, Cucumber, Postman and REST Assured.
  • Experience with Mobile App Automation using Appium.
  • Experience with AQA web accessibility testing software.

 

Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit for extended periods; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to move about. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to twenty (20) pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.

Compensation: $80,000-$105,000 (commensurate with experience) + Bonus
