Levitt-Safety has an exciting opportunity for a Shop Technician to join our team in Edmonton.

 

Job Summary 

As the Warehouse/Shop Technician, you will have a primary role of but not limited to, receiving of stock into the service warehouse, organization and stocking of parts on a timely basis. Tracking of incoming parts ordered and communicating arrival with the service admin team, picking parts and equipment for upcoming deficiency jobs and sorting appropriately.

 

Main Responsibilities

  • Receiving of stock via vendor orders/warehouse transfers. Ensure materials are received safely & accounted for through proper receiving & storage processes. 
  • Receiving of inbound service customer equipment orders and forwarding them to Service Admin for processing and tracking.
  • Service Inventory Management. 
  • Forklift operation and material handling equipment, inspect forklift & material handling equipment before use.
  • Timely & accurate completion & submission of receiving docs & assorted paperwork.
  • Picking Service deficiency inventory and sorting into Job Boxes
  • Regular meetings with supervision & management for progress reports & planning Organization/Cleanliness of the warehouse.
  • Participate in mandatory safety training & industry certifications.
  • Be an active contributor to the ongoing development of Job Hazard Analysis & follow Safe Work practices.
  • Participate in inventory management through accurate counts & the receiving of all materials

 

Job Requirements

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent time management decisions and ability to make quick decisions to meet customer needs.
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Strong Communication skills
  • Attention to detail and strong communication; ability to work with multiple stakeholders.

  • Fair degree of physicality required in this position with frequent handling of parts & boxes up to 50 pounds in weight.
  • Frequent bending, twisting, pushing & shoving.
  • Extended periods of standing and walking in the warehouse.
