Purpose of the job 

 

Under the supervision of the Process and Systems Team Leader, the incumbent of this position supports and ensures the proper functioning of technological solutions. Le.la candidate participates in problem solving, functional analysis, documentation writing, and maintenance of these solutions. Le.la candidate must be versatile, open-minded, and have the ability to adapt to rapid change. 

 

 

Tasks description

  • Understand and master La Vie en Rose's systems and their integrations, databases and the entire application ecosystem; 
  • Take charge of reported incidents and analyze them, escalate them as needed (external vendors, DEV, BI specialist);  
  • Identify problems (recurring incidents with a solution at the source) 
  • Document recurring system incidents and transfer them to the right resources as needed to find solutions; 
  • Monitor systems, logs and alerts; 
  • Interpret SQL programs and read integration files (XML and others); 
  • Work with developers and external partners to identify solutions that require development; 
  • Participate in improving, correcting and testing integrations between La Vie en Rose's systems and the various technological solutions, as well as the "in-house" systems; 
  • Collaborate with external users and vendors for the implementation, support and maintenance of technological solutions and various integrations; 
  • Ensure regular communication to internal users on the progress of incident resolution; 
  • Create and execute SQL queries to analyze data, extract information, and make corrections; 
  • Participate in the upgrade of applications and solutions with the various stakeholders; 
  • Write and maintain technical documentation of systems and their integration; 
  • Participate in data archiving and various migrations; 
  • Update delivery notes and disseminate relevant information to the various stakeholders; 
  • Provide support outside of working hours and on a rotating basis with other team members. 

Requirements 

  • College or university degree in information technology or any related field; 
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in the context of technological solutions at the application level and integration;  
  • Knowledge of the retail industry (an asset); 
  • Analytical skills in the operation of applications and their integrations 
  • Understanding of business processes; 
  • Functional bilingualism, spoken and written, English and French (The person will be dealing with Anglophone suppliers); 
  • Knowledge of basic programming languages (SQL Server or other); 
  • Experience with various integrated technology solutions (An asset); 
  • Ability to conduct research related to technological solutions and problems arising from them; 
  • Adapt quickly to new systems and technologies; 
  • Ability to manage priorities and perform tasks under pressure and manage the stress of the ever-changing retail world.
