BASIC PURPOSE AND SCOPE OF POSITION

Adjudicate warranty claims submitted by KTC dealers.  Verify information submitted to insure conformance with warranty policies and procedures.  Review failed parts to identify defects in materials and/or workmanship.  Assist dealers with the warranty process via phone calls and email. 

 

PRINCIPAL ACTIVITIES:  This position does the following in accordance with all applicable Federal, State and local laws / regulations and the Company’s policies, procedures and guidelines:

  1. Adjudicate assigned warranty claims within the time frame established by management. 
  2. Ensure presence of defect by reviewing text, photos, or parts, verify that parts and labor request are appropriate for the repair, correct any miscoding of information, and make sure all information submitted is clear and correct (return for correction when necessary).
  3. Receive and inspect failed parts to verify defect and identify root cause of failure.  Ship parts to vendors by request and return ineligible parts back to dealer.
  4. Review daily reports to find and correct claim processing errors.
  5. Answer dealers’ questions regarding claim judgements, best practices, and KTC warranty policies and procedures.
  6. Deliver a Dealer Support Experience based on the pillar of KUBOTA Service
    1. Connection – Ensure dealers have a connected KUBOTA Service Experience
    2. Development - Grow the ability of the dealer to provide the local market’s best service experience for end customers.
    3. Training – Dealers able to enhance skills through knowledge/information from KUBOTA University
  7. Additional duties as assigned by management.

 

SPECIAL PROJECTS

Travel to company facilities to assist with dealer training.  Attend company meetings as Warranty Department Representative.  Other projects as assigned.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION, CERTIFICATIONS, AND TRAINING:

  • Community College or Technical School Graduate (2 year program).
  • Emphasis on mobile equipment design or repair preferred.

 

SKILLS AND BACKGROUND:

  • Minimum 2 years hands-on experience repairing commercial mobile equipment preferred.
  • High level of mechanical aptitude.
  • Intermediate level Microsoft Office ability (subject to test).
  • Ability to visualize a situation based on a written or spoken report. 
  • Ability to resolve conflicts, and to remain calm during stressful situations.
  • Excellent communications skills, both verbal and written.

 

LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS:

English, native level.  Must be able to read, write and communicate in English.

 

EQUIPMENT OPERATION (% of time, description, nature of service):

Office equipment including computer, copier, fax, phone, printer

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Able to lift 50 lbs without assistance.  Able to operate mobile equipment to become familiar with acceptable performance parameters.

 

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

The position will require walking, standing and sitting at a computer.
