Position Overview

Reporting to the President, the Vice President, Sales & Marketing will be responsible for achieving annual sales/marketing goals and objectives for Masterack. This executive will have responsible for a total team of X consisting of inside/outside sales and marketing people. This includes technical sales/customer service, business development, marketing, national accounts, strategic key accounts and regional sales teams. The Vice President will take an active role in the management of existing and new projects for high profile customers to drive new business in national and international markets.

Essential Functions

  • Lead Masterack’s sales and marketing initiatives to grow the business and strengthen its market leadership

  • Establish and implement short- and long-term goals, objectives, policies and operating procedures

  • Establish effective sales incentive plan goals and targets in support of the above

  • Manage the preparation and execution of the annual sales business plans and budgets

  • Analyze and implement improvements to Masterack’s sales force and channel design and deployment

  • Effectively manage Masterack channel partners in achievement of share gain and sales targets

  • Develop and maintain product price plans with appropriate price increase or discount/multiplier deviation processes

  • Provide business development leadership to grow business opportunities and revenue, including identification, qualification, and development of new/existing customer opportunities

  • Determine effective marketing plans and promotions in support of achieving share gain and revenue targets

  • Create business models, analyzing financial and environmental risks

  • Lead the recruitment, retention and development of sales and marketing talent

  • Manage market share with major customer classes for all regions

  • Reconcile escalated customer issues

Qualifications

  • 15+years in sales/marketing roles of increasing responsibility

  • 5years in a senior level sales/marketing leadership role for a $30M+ complex multisite business

  • Relevant experience in a transportation-related industry

  • Experience selling capital equipment through various sales channels, including dealers and distributors, as well as direct sales to large strategic accounts and OEM customers

  • A successful track record managing, mentoring, coaching and directing a geographically disbursed sales and marketing team

  • A team-oriented collaborative style which fosters an open and transparent culture built on respect

  • Experience with Lean / TPS strongly preferred

  • Travel 30 to 50 percent

Education

An undergraduate degree from an accredited university is required; an advanced degree is preferred

The role is based in the Greater Atlanta Area; Relocation within reasonable driving distance is required
