Position Summary

Administers and maintains benefits programs, policies, and procedures.  Reconciles and audits HRIS benefit records against third party records.  Assists with annual enrollment process.

 

Primary Functions:

  • Build relationships with third-party benefit providers, auditors, brokers, and administrators.
  • Asssist Benefits Manager with Annual Enrollment process, to include Plan Designs, Health & Welfare, Life, Disability, Retirement and Voluntary benefits.
  • Administers tuition reimbursement program.
  • Maintains benefit recordkeeping systems; initiating new-hire benefits; recording changes.
  • Resolves employee questions and problems by interpreting benefit policies and procedures.
  • Reconciles benefits accounts by approving billing statements.
  • Audits HRIS benefit records against third party records to ensure accuracy.
  • Prepares special reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.

 

Key Qualifications

  • 3 - 5 years previous benefits experience.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or a related field.
  • Strong multi-tasking ability with good time management and prioritization skills.
  • Excellent computer skills including MS Office, Excel, and HRIS software.

 

 

Physical Requirements

Sitting at workstation approximately 85 (eighty-five) percent of work time.

Standing and walking approximately 15 (fifteen) percent of work time.

Ability to work overtime or occasionally on weekends with short notice.

Typical office environment with shelves overhead and above work surfaces.
