Licensed Practical Nurse - Heart & Vascular (PRN)

POSITION SUMMARY:  The Cardiology Licensed Practical Nurse provides expert professional nursing care; assesses, plans, implements and evaluates the care rendered to patients with urgent, emergency or potential health problems; obtains ECG’S; initiates patient education for the cardiac patient.                                                                                                                                                   

QUALIFICATIONS:  Formal training which will probably be indicated by a graduation certificate from an accredited school of nursing; current State licensure with IV certification, current CPR and certification, knowledge of cardiovascular care; ability to communicate effectively as nurse educator for patients and family; basic knowledge of ECG interpretation and cardiology experience preferred.
