CA Ventures is looking to add a Vice President of Construction Management to join our growing team of skilled professionals.

What You’ll Do:

  • Manage stakeholder relationships on multiple projects, including but not limited to CA Ventures colleagues, on-site personnel and vendors, contractors and local partners and clients.
  • Ensure projects deliver on time and on budget, working with the Project Team to manage all aspects of the project including but not limited to staff performance, budgets, construction timelines, and project execution.
  • Hold contractors and consultants accountable to construction and design schedules and budgets.
  • Build and manage a team of project managers and project coordinators to align with CA’s growth initiatives.
  • Play a part in preconstruction duties for prospective projects.
  • Ensure accurate documentation, discerning where adjustments to priorities or approach may need to take effect to reflect changing drivers and still ensure on time, cost effective and high-quality delivery.
  • Use judgement and expertise to identify necessary adjustments to project scope, approach or deliverables based on changing requirements, communicating these adjustments.
  • Support design management process throughout the project, understanding cost and schedule impacts of design-related changes. 
  • Strong commercial awareness and experience managing contracts to identify risks to the business.  
  • Manage contracts in accordance with the specific terms and conditions specified, identifying and assessing outcomes and ensuring timely and accurate project and business reporting. Oversee and maintain all documentation required by stakeholders and the project teams, ensuring accuracy, and taking accountability for project oversight.
  • Have a strong understanding of the skillsets and expertise of the broader CA Ventures team to utilize teammates and maximize project’s success. 
  • Use knowledge and expertise of project related interdependencies to maintain and provide accurate and detailed project records and reports to relevant stakeholders.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously, with the support of internal and external resources.


What You’ll Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, or relevant experience.
  • 10+ years’ progressive construction experience, managing ground up construction projects with a value of $10-100M++.
  • 5+ years’ leading, developing, and motivating teams.
  • Demonstrated experience and leadership in estimating, scheduling, budget/cost control, field supervision, financial reporting, and client relationships.
  • Successful track record of project delivery and project management in fast-paced environments.
  • Excellent communication skills with varying levels of stakeholders.
  • Must be able to safely navigate conditions at a construction site, including climbing ladders, cluttered areas, working in bad weather, hazardous areas, dark conditions, and maneuvering uneven surfaces etc. for the purpose of inspecting progress.
  • Excellent excel skills, and experience working in real estate models a plus.
  • Must be flexible and available to travel 25% or more, depending on project stage.
