Maintenance Worker

We are expanding our Facilities Department and seeking Full Time Maintenance Workers! Positions includes a comprehensive and competitive benefits package.

Community Access Unlimited is seeking self-motivated handyman for program facilities to perform grounds keeping, light maintenance duties, electrical work, plumbing, tiling, flooring, lawn mowing, leaf removal, flower planting, shrubbery trimming and snow removal. EOE

Monday-Friday 7am-3pm. valid driver’s license required. Our programs are located in Union County, NJ

We provide you with Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Light general maintenance and repair including painting, electric, plumbing, tile and flooring
• Prepping and painting
• Safe operation of commercial grade tools and landscaping equipment and upkeep of plant material and other landscaping elements
• Repairs or replaces electric, paneling, and floor tiles
• Properly and safely prune shrubs and low trees as needed. Remove damaged branches
• Properly and safely operate the edger and line trimmer along sidewalks, flower beds, trees, buildings, fences and other objects
• Ensures the facility, grounds, and equipment are maintained in a clean, sanitary, and safe condition
• Performs general maintenance on equipment and machinery
• Assist with snow removal detail
• Performs other duties as required
• Attends required trainings, staff meetings, and other meetings/events as requested

QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience in landscape and general maintenance work including the operation of heavy equipment
• Familiarity with painting tools and equipment
• Excellent interpersonal skills to interact professionally with customers, vendors, and staff
• Experience working in an outdoor or indoor building environment
• High school diploma or GED required
• Able to bend, kneel, squat, stand, climb a ladder and lift heavy objects as needed
• Valid driver's license and car for work purposes
