Program Services - Overnight DSP

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

Responsible for ensuring safety of members on the overnight shift.  Responsible for providing crisis intervention and/or counseling to members in need.  Responsible for administering and documenting medications and/or changes in medical status as needed. The expectation is that while performing the duties of an Awake Overnight you will stay awake and alert so that you supervise effectively the members you are responsible for.

 

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

One year related experience preferred.  High school diploma required with some higher educational background in social work, psychology, special education or related field experience. Must be a minimum of 18 years of age.

 

JOB TASKS 

 

  1. Maintains program standards of operation and development.
  2. Ensures members’ health, safety and welfare, including appropriate medication administration.
  3. Ensures compliance with SAP policies and procedures in regards to member and program funds.
  4. Maintains appropriate staff/member interactions.
  5. Maintains Carelogic expectations.
  6. Ensures completion of overnight checklist on each shift.
  7. Ensures compliance with the annual Individual Habilitation Plan process for members.
  8. Ensures compliance with the Agency’s Periodic Service Review and other quality assurance programs.
  9. Ensures compliance with CAU Policies and Procedures, SAP policies, and licensing requirements.
  10. Provides appropriate direct supports to members.
  11. Uses the Agency time and attendance system to check-in hourly between the hours beginning one hour after your shift starts and ending at 6AM.
  12. Checks CAU e-mail account on a regular basis.
  1. Cooperates with Agency, legal authorities, and Department of Human Services or any part or successor thereof in any inspection or investigation.
  2. Ensures compliance with wearing a mask when mandated by State, Federal, and Licensing authorities during a public health crisis/pandemic.
  3. All other duties as assigned.

 

SHIFT    

 

11 p.m. – 9 a.m.  Number of shifts varies.
