GENERAL DESCRIPTION

Participates in the development and coordination of training programs for members to enhance their Quality of Life and increase their independence. Provides direct supervision and training to members utilizing normalization principles.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE -

High School diploma required with minimum two years of college in psychology, special education, or human services field preferred.  Experience working with adults with developmental disabilities preferred.  Must be a minimum of 18 years of age.

 

Job Tasks

  1. Maintains program standards of operation and development.
  2. Ensures members’ health, safety, and welfare, including appropriate medication administration and medical needs.
  3. Ensures compliance with CCP policies and procedures in regards to member and program funds.
  4. Maintains appropriate staff/member interactions.
  5. Ensures compliance with the annual Individual Support Plan (ISP) process for members.
  6. Ensures compliance with the Agency’s Periodic Service Review and other quality assurance programs.
  7. Ensures compliance with CAU Policies and Procedures, CCP Policies and Procedures, as well as CARF and licensing requirements.
  8. Ensures compliance with all required state and federally mandated background and exclusion checks including but not limited to criminal history background investigation (fingerprinting), Central Registry, Child Abuse Record Information (CARI), and motor vehicle checks.
  9. Maintains Carelogic expectations.
  10. Checks CAU e-mail account on a regular basis.
  11. Provides appropriate direct supports to members.
  12. Cooperates with Agency personnel, legal authorities, and Department of Human Services, or any part or successor thereof, in any inspection or investigation.
  13. Ensures compliance with wearing a mask when mandated by State, Federal, and Licensing authorities during a public health crisis/pandemic.
  14. All other duties as assigned.

SHIFT: 3pm-11pm with some variation. Weekends required. Days vary by program need.
