Regulated Garbage Specialist

DO & CO is looking for a Regulated Garbage Specialist to support our transportation team in Metro Detroit.

What you'll do:
Reporting to the transportation Supervisor, you'll responsible for performing diversified tasks in our DO & CO operation such as handling and transportation of Regulated Garbage on but not limited to airport grounds.

A day as a Regulated Garbage Specialist: 

• Transport and haul trash and any equipment that is needed between the DO & CO Facilities and the airport.
•  Proper use of the jet way to unload Regulated Garbage from aircraft according to DO & CO and airline regulations, specifications, and equipment handling.
• Ensure proper logs are completed after and before each flight.
• Ensure all vehicles are maintained in full working condition (including fueling and pre/post checks) and report any vehicle irregularities to dispatch immediately.
•  Comply with all food safety and hygiene regulations as stated in the food safety management system handbook.
•  Comply with all applicable rules/regulations. Report problems with the food safety management system to their manager and the hygiene and food safety team.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.

Who are you:   

• Experience driving a Airport ground is preferred.
• Requirements necessary to obtain airport ID.
• Must Pass a criminal background check.
• Will be exposed to extreme temperature changes and noise. Many duties performed outside in all weather conditions.
• Must be able to lift, push, pull, move product, equipment and supplies up to seventy-five (75) pounds.
• Must be able to work at heights up to 20-25 feet.
• Regularly stands, bends, lifts, and moves intermittently during shifts of 8+ hours.
• Communicate effectively with team members, make sure communication is clear and understood by co-workers.
