We have an incredible opportunity for a dynamic, inspirational leader to join our team in New York as an Accounting Manager.

Responsibilities: 

 

  • Manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing.
  • Responsible for the maintenance of the general ledger.
  • Oversee all day-to-day accounting processes.
  • Ensure accurate accounting and timely reporting of financial data to the management.
  • Prepare monthly balance sheet account reconciliations.
  • Analyze data and recommend courses of action to maximize profitability.
  • Oversee Accounts Payables, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, and Revenue Recognition.
  • Maintain and reconcile the fixed assets to the general ledger.
  • Manage internal and external financial and insurance audits as well as tax audits.
  • Prepare sales tax returns for all states.
  • Assist with corporate tax returns, and corporate reporting requirements.
  • Maintain internal control over revenues, assets, and liabilities and ensure accounts are maintained according to uniformed system.
  • Research, resolve and respond to internal and external inquiries in a timely manner.
  • Evaluate departmental performance and make adjustment to daily operations when needed to ensure the department meets overall goals and objectives.
  • Maintain good corporate relations with clients, vendors, banking institutions, auditors, and other affiliates.
  • Prepare ad hoc reports as requested.

 

Qualifications:

 

  • B.S. in Accounting desirable.
  • Minimum 5 years of managerial accounting experience.
  • Proven ability to be a resourceful problem-solver.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Working knowledge of accounting principles.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Strong knowledge of accrual accounting
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
