The Job Profile
We are looking for a Publicity Manager / Senior Publicity Manager to join our award-winning publicity team. Reporting to a senior member of the publicity team, the candidate for the role will coordinate successful publicity campaigns on a range of S&S Adult fiction and non-fiction titles.
The Job Role
The role involves executing imaginative, effective and impactful publicity campaigns, working closely with the editorial, marketing, digital and sales teams to deliver fully integrated promotional plans, and supporting and helping all editorial teams with pitches and new campaign presentations.
The Candidate Profile
The successful candidate would have a proven track record of leading and delivering inventive and strategic publicity campaigns across both traditional and digital media is essential, in addition to proven success in organising events and book tours, big and small.
The candidate will have an established network of media and event contacts and be able to hit the ground-running in a vibrant department. Whilst this role encompasses work on a wide variety of titles, we are particularly keen to welcome applications from candidates with experience in or passions for serious non-fiction. The role encompasses working on titles across all the adult imprints at S&S UK.
A prowess for multi-tasking and innovative thinking is a must, as is exemplary organisational skills and an eye for detail, the ability to handle a variety of campaigns from debuts to brand and celebrity authors, and the ability to juggle multiple campaigns at once.
Please note that for this role, flexibility is needed outside of core work hours, as it may require the occasional evening and weekend work.
