The Talent Acquisition Specialist will play a pivotal role on the HR team. This role will be responsible for supporting talent acquisition by scheduling interviews, coordinating communication with candidates, and ensuring smooth and efficient hiring and onboarding processes. Additionally, this role will assist in posting job advertisements, conducting initial candidate screenings, initiating and tracking background and reference checks and facilitating improvements in talent acquisition and onboarding processes. This role requires excellent organizational skills, effective communication, and the ability to manage multiple tasks to help the company attract and hire top talent.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and schedule interviews for candidates based on the organization’s openings.
  • Provide excellent candidate experience by being communicative and providing transparent feedback in a timely manner.
  • Manage and maintain the accuracy of the applicant tracking system (ATS).
  • Work with hiring managers on creating and publishing job postings as well as outlining interview processes with relevant and compliant interview questions.
  • Track recruitment metrics and share relevant findings with the greater HR team
  • Coordinate and track pre-employment background and reference checks for candidates
  • Assist with onboarding new associates while maintaining the onboarding tracker
  • Support Diversity and Inclusion initiatives in the hiring process and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Handle ad-hoc recruiting and other HR projects and tasks as assigned
  • Maintain confidentiality and data security

Must Have Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or commensurate experience
  • Previous experience working within a recruiting on HR team (manufacturing experience preferred)
  • Basic knowledge of employment law, especially as it impacts related talent acquisition and onboarding processes
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with candidates, managers, and team members
  • Organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks and schedules efficiently
  • Attention to detail, particularly when working with sensitive information
  • Time management skills and ability to prioritize competing tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrate professionalism and ability to uphold strict confidentiality when dealing with sensitive information
  • Adaptability and ability to work in a dynamic environment with fluid processes

Nice to Have Qualifications:

  • Candidate sourcing skills (LinkedIn Recruiter preferred)
  • Experience working with and ATS (Dayforce preferred)
  • Experience working with DE&I initiatives
  • Experience with interview training
