The Replacement Specialist evaluates life applications where WoodmenLife is replacing certificates both internally and externally.  We are looking for someone for the Replacement Specialist role to: 

  • Reviews all new business life applications when replacement is requested or recently occurred.  Review includes the forms submitted that will allow completion of the replacement transaction
  • Uses established guidelines to set-up internal, external and 1035 replacement so they can be issued appropriately
  • Identifies application and or form deficiencies and communicate with Sales associates for clarification and requests additional information when needed
  • Applies NAIC illustration and replacement regulations to applications received and request forms and documents that are needed to ensure compliance
  • Ensures that all work is completed within the department’s time service standards
  • Continually reviews and analyzes the workflow to provide efficient service and to meet service level goals
  • Makes recommendations for changes that enhance the process and improve customer service
  • Adheres to Core Operations Behavioral Standards which include: focusing on solutions, being open to feedback and dialogue, taking initiative, and be involved and accountable
  • Performs other duties as assigned by management

We need someone who has: 

  • High School Diploma and/ or equivalent work experience
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills required
  • Required to have knowledge of state and federal regulations pertaining to replacement
  • Must possess a working knowledge of NAIC illustration and replacement regulations
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills required with the ability to explain decisions effectively
  • Ability to identify situations where adverse tax consequences may affect a transaction
  • Knowledge of WoodmenLife’s plans of insurance, policies, procedures and guidelines preferred
  • Knowledge of Contract Services and/or Underwriting processes/products is recommended, (prefer two + years)
  • Ability to make sound and accurate judgment decisions and to include appropriate people in the decision making process as necessary
  • Ability to deliver quality service and to meet the time-service standards as established by the division management
