JOB SUMMARY:
Performs full cycle accounts payable. Complies and maintains accounts payable records, manages vendor relations, codes, files and processes check runs for a large volume of invoices. May also check the accuracy of figures, calculations, and postings pertaining to business transactions recorded by other workers.
ESSENTIAL TASKS & DUTIES:
Verifies approval and appropriate coding on administrative invoices
Processes all invoices and employee expense reports
Verifies tax rates on invoices and makes adjustments as necessary
Processes international invoices for payment via wire transfer
Manages vendor account relationships
Research invoice issues and statements
Balances daily batches and reports; prepares income reports and statistics; distributes reports.
Performs a variety of general clerical duties, including telephone reception, mail distribution, and other routinefunctions.
Ensures strict confidentiality of financial records.
May assist in preparing documentation and responses for legal inquiries, litigation, and court appearances.
Provide backup for Accounts Payable Specialist.
Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education & Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent (GED), plus 2-3 years previous, relevant experience.
Associates degree in accounting or business preferred.
SAP experience strongly preferred
Knowledge & Skills:
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Detail oriented and strong organizational skills
•Strong computer skills with Microsoft Excel and Word.
•Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions,and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
•Able to deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events.
•Takes responsibility for own actions; completes tasks on time or notifies appropriate person with an alternateplan.
•Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner; gathers and analyzes information skillfully; developsalternative solutions; works well in group problem solving situations.
•Prioritizes and plans work activities; uses time efficiently.
