Automation Specialist

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Telecom-

•  Provide construction, operation & maintenance of communication lines, wireless data, fiber optic data lines, wireless tower lines and wireless services.
• Responsible for installation, configuration, and maintenance of network and telecom equipment.
• Interpret network drawings, schematics, technical manuals, and implement design parameters as specified.
• Monitor network for equipment alarms and adverse trends to proactively prevent network outages.
• Ability to test and troubleshoot the transmission cables.  Maintains tools and hardware inventory.

Automation-

• Thoroughness and attention to detail are required as a significant amount of time will be spent working with complex PLC programs and advanced process control systems
• Responsible for the design, specification, installation, programming, calibration, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of automation equipment to improve plant system operation/uptime and reduce total operating costs
• Understanding of Battery Maintenance and industrial UPS systems
• Will be subject to overtime and call-out work as needed
• Other tasks may also be assigned to support operations as necessary

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements: 

• Education: High School Diploma or GED
• Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills
• Excellent diagnostic and repair skills for telecom systems
• Experience with LAN and WAN technologies.
• Skillful in reading electronic schematics, identifying components, and understanding their functions
• Able to configure telecommunications and network equipment.
• Good computer skills
• Must have valid driver’s license and excellent driving record

Working Conditions:

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
• Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization’s facilities
• Occasional driving may be needed to travel to Kinetik plants and worksites as needed
• Available outside of normal working hours as needed for business necessity

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
• Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards
• Ability to work effectively in all working conditions noted above
• Will require lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling up to 15 lbs. on a consistent basis.
