Sr. Payroll Analyst
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Take on a key role as a Sr Payroll Analyst at a growth-oriented company. Make a significant impact as a Payroll subject matter expert in Ceridian Dayforce, ensuring we make optimal use of this platform following a recent implementation. This position will report to the Payroll & Benefits Manager, providing exemplary customer service to our employees throughout Texas. As part of your specific responsibilities, in the following areas, you will:
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of bi-weekly and off-cycle payrolls on the Dayforce platform.
- Calculate and input employee hours, deductions, bonuses, and other payroll-related data into the payroll system.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on the Company’s overall payroll practice and Ceridian Dayforce timekeeping and payroll system.
- Stay up to date and ensure compliance with all payroll-related processes, regulations, and reporting requirements and prompt resolution of any associated issues.
- Take a role in monthly, quarterly, and year-end payroll activities including accounting-related reporting and various payroll-related reconcilements.
- Interpret and administer court orders for employee wage garnishments.
- Review and ensure timely processing of stock-related payroll processing.
- Provide excellent customer service to employees regarding payroll-related inquiries.
- Address and resolve payroll discrepancies and issues in a timely manner.
- Participate in Worker’s Compensation and other external and internal payroll-related audit activities.
- All other duties as assigned
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
- 3-5 years experience
- Strong functional knowledge of timekeeping / time management systems.
- Experience with Ceridian Dayforce time and payroll system strongly preferred.
- Strong analytical and attention to detail
- Strong knowledge of payroll related practices, payroll tax filing, and regulatory / legal compliance.
- Experience with payroll system integration, configuration and post-implementation support strongly preferred.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills
- Ability to work extended hours as necessary to meet bi-weekly payroll deadline.
- Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) certification preferred.
- High School diploma or GED required.
Working Conditions:
- Available to attend in-person office as needed
- Occasional driving may be needed to travel to Kinetik plants and worksites as needed.3
- Will be working in an office environment with long periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Available outside of normal working hours as needed for business necessity
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards, including meeting qualitative and or quantitative productivity standards
- Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards
- Ability to work effectively in all working conditions noted above
- Will require lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling up to 15 lbs. on a consistent basis.
