Summary

Responsible for providing process support, developing routine instructions, perform product/process problem solving to eliminate root causes and prevent recurrences on nonconformance. The position will partner with cross-functional department teams on Process/Quality Improvement projects with a focus on reducing risks and defects that can impact the customer base. Design, develop, test, and evaluate integrated systems for managing industrial repair and remanufacturing processes, including human work factors, quality control, inventory control, and logistics and material flow.

 

Job Functions:

  • Responsible for evaluating machining processes.
  • Implement shop floor level processes to collect and evaluate the CTQ data.
  • Responsible for implementing manufacturing quality metrics for shop floor process.
  • Performs internal auditing and analysis of processes and quality systems.
  • Develop systemic solutions for typical quality processes.
  • Develop best practices, routines, and innovative solutions to improve production rates and quality of output.
  • Production process support.
  • Define and purchase equipment and tooling requirements.
  • Support Lean-Kaizen, 5S+, Standard Work.
  • Process Failure Modes and Effects Analysis.
  • Work closely with Manufacturing, Product, Industrial & Quality Engineering.

Specifications Required:

  • Ability to break down problems, gain understanding, and make effective decisions.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes and process improvement.
  • Ability to demonstrate professional communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Knowledge of MS Office software.
  • Ability to be personally connected to others on the job, maintain a professional demeanor with a positive attitude.
  • Knowledge of necessary technology and ability to utilize skills.
  • Knowledge of working with ERP.
  • Ability to be open to change with excellent organizational and time management skills.

Education & Experience:

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • 5+ years’ experience in manufacturing environment
  • Experience in motor repair facility (EASA preferred)
  • Machinist Experience
